#1
Καλημέρα, Φίλοι από την Ελλάδα!

I would like kindly ask You, to explain me exactly routes in Μυτιλήνη.

I hope to spend some days on Λέσβος and have find this small beauftiful bus company. But there is on their website only limited timetable. I would know the exact routes, which way, which streets the buses go, to can explore it and to make the scheme.

To make such schemes is one of my points of interests:

Yes, but there only stops. There is nothing about which line/which trip goes which way, and there are only stops in the city. And from the timetable I know, the buses go also further - to airport, to hospital, to Αφαλωνας, to Αγία Μαρίνα etc. etc.

I now see what you mean. I guess these are the stops in the city, while outside it is easier to find out the location.

Yes, that can be good enogh for the "typical" passengers, but for transport lovers like us, it need to be more. But I can't still be sure, which way choose which bus exactly.
And some destinations I can regognize (or, to be precise: suppose), for example Αφαλώνας, but not all.
And there is the bus to Αγία Μαρίνα. But via Ταχιάρχες or via Πλιγόνι? And it could be more such questions.
Otherwise, there are on that map the stops, like number 31 - "Προσφυγικές Κατοίκες". Great, but I still don't know, which trips use this stop - maybe to airport, maybe to hospital, maybe to Αγία Μαρίνα or Λουτρά.

I'm finishing my map of bus lines in Ηανιά (Ρέθυμνο would be too dificult). It was hard to do, I had to use Google Street View. But it was excelent fun for me!

Hello Obibok!

Their website is not the best in the world, however it has all the information you need!

Go here: http://www.astika-mitilinis.gr/therina_d..._2014.xlsx

these are the summer timetables in an excel datasheet form.

For more info (i hope in english) you can also call them at:

Hello AquaSonic!
Yes, I have seen this timetable - there are only the start times from the city.
OK, the website is not the best, but quite good and nice.
There is the best passengers' information - I would say, in Germany or Sweden. In Greece not especially good, but the weather, beaches and as first: tavernas - excellent! So I love this.
By the way: it is not nice for me to call to call-center. I was born in Poland under comunisms. If we called such companies in Poland, it wasn't nice. So I prefer to avoid such "adventures".

However, I have finished my map for Χανιά. It is availlable just here:

If someone want to use, please enjoy it!

Excellent map! Thank you! Can i have your permission to use in our website? I find it very helpful!

As for the timetables, well... most of Greece is like this unfortunately. Even in athens the timetable-per-bus-stop exists only in some bus lines and as a pilot program.

As for the call center, well... except that they won't probably speak the best English out there, and that a huge part of Lesbian people are still communists (it is true!), i am guessing they will be happy to assist you. Don't worry, i have served the Greek Army there, People there are really friendly. Smile

P.S i was in Warsaw two weeks ago for 2 days, I really liked the Connecto busses Smile

Thanks for nice words! Obviously You can use my map, those of Cyprus as well (it was a nice adventure to complete the data and make this). Now I'm preparing another one - for Ηράκλειο. It would be also nice for Μυτιλήνης, but... yeah! To prepare this map, I was using GoogleStreetView, step by step, looking for the bus stops. But the stops are not allways present... And the stops names of website of Αστικό Κ.Τ.Ε.Λ. Χανίων (which is not existing now, only pdf file), are hard to find in the real.
Yes, the timetables in Greece are terrible, if they even are present anywhere (in internet for example). And mostly they are only for start point, and for return You have to predict. But it is typical for south nations - in Italy, Spain, even in south France this is similar. And I allways say: each nation has got bad points, but also pleasures. The swedish people are perfect organised, but they don't smile. The greek people don't have timetables, but they have - as I wrote - excellent tavernas.
However, I can't understand, how the people live. If the busline goes every 10 minutes, this is ok, but if it is one bus for an hour? Let's say, I need to airport, but don't know, when is muy bus... Amazing!
I was in Πειραιάς. It was about 11 p.m. I needed to take line B2 to go back to my hotel in Βούλα. There were a bus, but I wanted to take a photo of line 049 - this one: http://open.phototrans.net/14,680106,0.html But I didn't know, if the B2 will be wait. And firstly I was back home, I could check in the internet - this B2 was a last one, but the 049 goes longer (three trips later). But how the people, who live there know this?
Another time I waited for 022 to go to Λυκαβηττός. After one hour I have abandoned. Then I could find in internet - 022 is not existing on Sundays...
And on the Ο.Α.Σ.Α. website - there are maps. Not actually (from the year 2008).
However, I love Your country!
P.S. Thurkish Conecto - yeah, but the people say, they are not as good as the german Citaro. And I obvsiously prefer Solaris - especially because of more place for passengers (between sits).
